If you want to give a castle in the air a solid foundation, you need a portion of courage and sometimes a little bit of high spirits.
After a sound education in the hotel industry and after several years of work in various jobs in hotels, restaurants and related businesses, as well as after numerous professional experiences also outside of the hospitality industry, we asked ourselves what our own hotel could look like and how it would feel to be a host ourselves. It was soon clear that we wanted to reach for the stars with a small, unique Inn.
As a result of our dream, we had to leave behind our beloved comfort zone and give up our security as employees in order to plunge into the adventure of independence with daring. We knew exactly what we wanted. Just not yet where!
In 2015, we fell in love with Prince Edward Island on one of our many trips to Canada. We felt the magic of the island, we fell in love with the friendliness of the people and the East Coast lifestyle. We knew immediately that we wanted to live and work here. In December 2019, we finally discovered the property designed as a residence. After some time, we were able to purchase this gem and realise our dream of the 45 Steps: The Culinary Beachside Inn. In close cooperation with local architects and craftsmen we designed a boutique hotel concept that is just waiting to indulge all the senses of guests from all over the world.
